| Scope & Content Note: |
This series provides information about deliveries of material or services for participating countries. Materials include both arms transfer and the sale or transfer of military supplies. Services include military education of individuals from other countries both in United States and abroad. Information includes the material or services provided, the fiscal year and quarter of the transaction, recipient country, unit price of the material, total cost, method of funding, the unified command providing the material or service, and the unit within the agency responsible for the transaction. Responsibility for the creation of this series was passed in 1971 from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs to the newly created Defense Security Assistance Agency. |
