    This series consists of indices that contain information about letters received by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of the Secretary from 1983 - 1995. Most of the letters are from the general public, which were either sent directly to the agency or referred to the agency by other federal agencies, members of Congress, or the White House. The index covers the terms of Secretaries Samuel Pierce, Jack Kemp and Henry Cisneros.

The Death Files contain nearly 50 million records of individuals with a social security number with a verified death or who would have been over 110 years old by December 31, 2007.
